This Serana is more open, more charismatic, more defined in many ways. She is more complete. This Serana is extroverted, not ashamed to be who she is, and has a jokey / flirty sense of humor. There's still a hint of the trauma, but she handles it better and deals with it differently.

In a lot of ways it's like the lighting mod Lux. A no brainer for PC. It was designed for ENB users, so for Consoles it's a real mixed bag. SDA is in my opinion the best follower mod you can have. It expands the relationship between serana and the dragonborn in an immersive way.
